He says he watches dramas and this is how they celebrate the female lead’s birthday. Xi Yi surprises Jia Xin with an empty amusement park. He tries to hug her but they topple over. She replies that spending their birthday together is enough. Xi Yi wishes her a happy birthday and asks what her wishes are so he can fulfill them. Someone in a giant yellow bird costume awkwardly dances on stage. Jia Xin thinks Xi Yi will be disappointed if Anna didn’t show and cannot let him celebrate alone. Everyone whispers and wonders if anyone is going to actually perform. The music starts but no one comes on stage. They give them birthday blessings as they drink wine and eat expensive steak and lobster. Both Si Qi and Anson take out their phones and display pictures of Jia Xin and Xi Yi. Jia Xin’s birthday feast was delivered after she left. He writes “Anna, sorry” then his name next to Jia Xin’s. He immediately writes with it and Jia Xin smiles. Dylan tries to get her to leave but she wants to see his reaction when he opens the gift. Jia Xin grabs the waiter and asks him to give the pen to Xi Yi as a surprise. She hides and sees the photos of Anna and Xi Yi from previous years together on the wall. Dylan grabs her hand and tells her to come with him.
